Hands On Fire

                            Hands On Fire


                                                          Lighting your hands on fire

Aim:To listen to the teachers instructions while using safe practice in the science lab.


Hypothesis: There will be flames coming from your hands
  


Equipment:


1. Bunsen burner tube                                   
2. Gas
3. Detergent
4. Water




 


Method:
1. Put some water into a container and squirt in some detergent.
2. Connect the gas hose to the taps and make gas bubbles in the water
3. Rub cold water on your hands, wrist and up to your elbows.
4. Scoop up the bubbles in the container into your palm of your cupped hands.
5. Stand with your hands reaching out in front of you,with your palms and bubbles facing up.
6. Light your hands.
7. DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME.

Safety: if you want to stop the fire you can open your palms and drop the fire to the floor.


Results: The hands of the person burst into flames without burning their hands.








Discussion: The gas in the bubbles burned.

Conclusion: The safety glasses and equipment like water on your wrists stopped anyone from getting hurt. By listening on the teachers instructions the method was clear.

Christmas Around The World

                     Christmas Around The World


         We are learning about Christmas traditions around the world. Today I learned that the France children leave their shoes in front of the fire place on Christmas Eve. France tradition says it is the Christ child who really fills the little shoes with gift.

                                        here are two ways some people say merry Christmas
              Chinese: Seng Dan Kuaile  and    Glaedelig Jul



I also Learned that Italian people eat and drink very little on Christmas day because this is a special day of prayer

!Don´t Let The Pigeon Stay Up Late!

                                                           !Don´t let the pigeon stay up late!

WALT write an opinion about a story. We had to chose out of four storyś. One was dont let the pigeon drive the bus, dont let the pigeon stay up late, should the pigeon have  a bath and dont let the pigeon have a walrus.  I chose dont let the pigeon stay up late and why because its just like me wanting to stay up late.

The Alarm Call

                                                                             Alarm Call

This week we have been writing a story about alarm call. Alarm call is that we have a monster and a kitten and we had to draw a picture  of what would happen next. Then write a story about the next thing that we thought was going to happen next. We only had a week to do this thought it was easy but I don't know if it was hard or easy for the people in my class. I would love to do these kind of activity's more often.







                        Alarm Call

MMMMMM is that a marshmallow? Because i’m hungry. Oops it's just a little kitten that looks like a marshmallow.
Now let me think how can i get this little,tiny,cute, miniature  kitten into my green,ugly,long hands. Oh I know i can just creep up on it.

Hahaha little does this  monster know that i am a wake because i am the non sleeping cat and also a prankster  well i do sleep but i can camouflage into place’s…..

So this ugly looking thing is in my house. Okay okay i know what you're thinking i am going to prank him. For the prank i am going to put a cat on  my favourite pillow and then once he finds out that it is fake i am going to jump on him and scare him because….


I WANT HIM OUT OF MY HOUSE.  I don’t want him in my house because it smell’s  i think he should have a bath. Now it’s time to get started with the prank.

HAHA i am going to get this cat not i love this pillow i want to eat it so badly. Okay Okay that  did not just happend it just kicked the  cat off the pillow and ate my favourite pillow. My life is doomed.

Today was the last day of our learning journey and it was sad to finish this lovely trip but it is time to move on.  The most changeling thing was making the screen castify or video because I had to keep restarting because I didn't know what to say for some of the questions and I keeped on saying the wrong's word's like the word's I was trying to say I said something else.  The four question's were, What have you learnt? , What did you like about the trip? , What didn't you like? and Was there anything that surprised you?

Robotics

This term I have been doing robotics for one Tuesday afternoon. I had to learn how to work the program on the Mac Book and then I had to learn how to control the robot. Next my group tought me how to programme our robot to move. I was kind of hard but easy at the same time.  The most challenging thing was learn about robotics. The easy thing was succeeding to tracks.
