         We are learning about Christmas traditions around the world. Today I learned that the France children leave their shoes in front of the fire place on Christmas Eve. France tradition says it is the Christ child who really fills the little shoes with gift.

!Don´t Let The Pigeon Stay Up Late!

                                                           !Don´t let the pigeon stay up late!

WALT write an opinion about a story. We had to chose out of four storyś. One was dont let the pigeon drive the bus, dont let the pigeon stay up late, should the pigeon have  a bath and dont let the pigeon have a walrus.  I chose dont let the pigeon stay up late and why because its just like me wanting to stay up late.

This week we have been writing a story about alarm call. Alarm call is that we have a monster and a kitten and we had to draw a picture  of what would happen next. Then write a story about the next thing that we thought was going to happen next. We only had a week to do this thought it was easy but I don't know if it was hard or easy for the people in my class. I would love to do these kind of activity's more often.

MMMMMM is that a marshmallow? Because i’m hungry. Oops it's just a little kitten that looks like a marshmallow.

Now let me think how can i get this little,tiny,cute, miniature  kitten into my green,ugly,long hands. Oh I know i can just creep up on it.

Hahaha little does this  monster know that i am a wake because i am the non sleeping cat and also a prankster  well i do sleep but i can camouflage into place’s…..

So this ugly looking thing is in my house. Okay okay i know what you're thinking i am going to prank him. For the prank i am going to put a cat on  my favourite pillow and then once he finds out that it is fake i am going to jump on him and scare him because….

I WANT HIM OUT OF MY HOUSE.  I don’t want him in my house because it smell’s  i think he should have a bath. Now it’s time to get started with the prank.

HAHA i am going to get this cat not i love this pillow i want to eat it so badly. Okay Okay that  did not just happend it just kicked the  cat off the pillow and ate my favourite pillow. My life is doomed.

Today was the last day of our learning journey and it was sad to finish this lovely trip but it is time to move on.  The most changeling thing was making the screen castify or video because I had to keep restarting because I didn't know what to say for some of the questions and I keeped on saying the wrong's word's like the word's I was trying to say I said something else.  The four question's were, What have you learnt? , What did you like about the trip? , What didn't you like? and Was there anything that surprised you?

Robotics

This term I have been doing robotics for one Tuesday afternoon. I had to learn how to work the program on the Mac Book and then I had to learn how to control the robot. Next my group tought me how to programme our robot to move. I was kind of hard but easy at the same time.  The most challenging thing was learn about robotics. The easy thing was succeeding to tracks.

     Today in day 5 we are doing one step at a time. The most changeling thing was writing the story about if you were lost what would happen next. Today for activity one we had to write a story about if you were lost in a forest what would happen next. For activity two we had to write about a famous person and answer and find out why they were famous,Where they were born and the name and two interesting thing about that person. Last but not lease for the bonus activity we had to tell us on there blog whether you would like to cycle to the Otago Rail Trial one day why or why not.






                    

Calendar Art 2017

For 2 weeks now we have been doing calendar art. First we had to choose what we were going to do. I choose to do the koru deign with other kind of deigns. Next we had to plan on how we were going to have our calendar art. Then we had to put it onto our final peace of paper and fill out our name our age and our room number. Then we added all the design to the final peace paper. After that we colored the calendar art and went over the lines with vivid.

Logo Design

For the last three weeks we have been doing personal logo design's. I have done a m with the color cyan, 11 , 2006 and family. Those are the thing that mean to me.

Day 3 Wild Eye´s

In day 3 in this great went we have now moved on from New Zealand land by sea. We are now on wild eye's. For wild eye's we had to find an animal on  This site and pick an animal and did some research  about it.  The next activity was do you agree on we catch the predators or leave them alone? Write 3 reason´s why.

This week we did an experiment.  The experiment was to make  coconut raisin bliss balls, we didn't do much because the ingredients were already in the bowl, all we needed to do was to put the ingredients into the blender until and was moist and ready to roll into a ball.  

After we rolled it into a ball we waited until everyone got one because there was only 14 in a batch. Once we did the second batch we lined up to pick a topping. The topping choices were out of cocoa or coconut.  I picked cocoa but it didn't taste nice. I said in my head I should've picked coconut but the only thing is I don't like coconut.

Make Their Day Shop

For Digi Awards a group set up a `` Make Their Day Shop``.  I could buy an ice-block and instead of paying with money I paid with a kind act to make someone`s day. I chose to smile at someone to pay for my ice-block.

Subtraction in parts

Today in maths we learnt how to work out questions in subtraction. It was hard at first but got easier the more I practice.  How I worked it was I got my question and then I had to break up the second

 number for example 77 - 39 = 38 because I am splitting 39 so here is my work.

Kapa Haka Performance at Broadfeild School

2 weeks ago my Kapa Hake Group travelled down to broadfield school. We practice really hard to get to the stage that we are at right now. I just want to thank my Kapa Haka teachers they have work really had to get us were we are at. Here is our performance with four videos. For three weeks we have been studying about some clouds lighting anything we wanted to do that was in weather and we were  creating a DLO about what ever we picked. I picked clouds for weather. The progress was hard because we had so much to do. The hardest thing to do was the studying. The easiest thing to do was the creating the DLO. HERE IS MY WORK

This term we have been learning about weather. In art I created a stormy night picture. First I dyed my  paper. The colors were dark blue middle blue and then light blue. We had to kind of blend the colors together. Then we got a black paper and we made a silhouette we could do what ever we wanted to. Next we glued it on with pva glue and then we had to hold it down for a few seconds. The last and final thing to do was to make the big black storm clouds and then put the lighting with white paint.

Division

 I have learnt to solve division problems using my 5 times tables and my 10 times table.
  We had a question and had to solve them. This is a video on how to do it.

                          

Translation

WALT define what the terms rotation, reflection and translation mean and to show these in an animation.
We had to decide which movement we wanted to show. We used Explain Everything. We had to create the shapes and show the motion of slide, flip or turn.

Fun with 5s

WALT we are learning to work out answers using our 5 times tables.
For  two weeks we have been learning to work out questions using our 5 times tables. This is an example.  First we have our question. For example 72 divided by 9. Next step is to  do 5 times 9 which equals 45. Then we put the 45 under the 7. After that  we put how much is left which is 27 and put that under the 2. Then under the 45 we put 5 then we do 9 times what equals 27. That will equal 3 so I going to be doing 5 + 3 which = 8. Here is my work.

     The progress what easy. Step 1 use a white crayon and drawed the rain and if you wanted to you could add in a rainbow with rainbow colors.Step 2 then I dyed my picture with dark blue gray and a light gray I think.

The progress was easy. The first step is to sketch the penguin. Step 2 was to paint the black. Step 3 paint the yellow and orange paint. Step 3 was to paint the eye and do the gray if you wish to.

About Antarctica

              For a couple of weeks now we went to the Antarctica center and now we are studying on Antarctica animals. The progress was hard and easy. Anzac Activitys

For the last two weeks we have been learning about ANZAC day and why we remember the people we have risked their lives for our freedom and our way of life.
 For one of our task we had to make a poem about why we remember them. The next task was we had to make a ANZAC necklaces. Also we had to make a small story by getting key words with out story called the button.

Last week we did a poem about that was summer.We had to write about what we remembered when it was summer. We write about smelling,hearing,tasting,seeing and feeling.This is a peace of writing and when we were done with our writing we had to draw a picture on google drawing and put it on my writing I drawed an ice-cream.
