Glentui Meadows Camp 2016

In week 9 or 8 the senior block went on camp to Glentui Meadows. So on Wednesday morning i woke up and got dressed and had my breakfast then i did my hair. Next I had to get all of my stuff and then I had to put it in the car. Next my  family had to get in the car and take me and my two brothers to school. Then I had to say my final goodbye. After we did the roll in the hall we got on the bus then we went all the way to Glentui Meadows and then it was fun time this was a little bit of camp.

              Adopting a pet from the pound
                 
                     For reading we had to do a poster about adopting a pet it was interesting to find out  some                            information  about cats and also it was fun because  I had to learn some
                    things about how putting thing in the  back board.  I learnt so much about pets.

Calendar Art

This week we have been doing calendar art. For calendar art I am doing a statue. Statue is when you find a pose and you do it any where you want to so I did it in the door way. Then I printed it and cut it out. I colored in my background with blocks of bright colors. I like my art because it is a good action pose and I tried really hard.

Inproving comments

I have learnt how to write a good comment to others. I have learnt different things like that you have different kinds of comments  and if it a bad one you can change into a good comment. This is the one I commented on the one that says Never Give Up As You Go. The other that says cool that was a bad comment to the post at the top of the screen and then I write a nice/good comment to her.

 In writing I have been learning about sentences. I have learnt how to write a simple and a compound sentence. A sentence has a capital letter and a full stop.It must have nouns.

Digi Awards

Digi awards. We had to pick out of this things Digital Art, Movie making,Website creator,Digital sandpit and last of all green screen. I picked out of all of them Digital art,Digital art is one of the best ones out of all of them for me. In Digital art you learn different types of angles and so much more things. you also create things . I think Digital art is really fun to do.

We have been learning how to get an old blog post of from our blog and then we had to open up this doc called Before and After. How I got the Before and After doc I had to go on the senior syndicate launching learning site and then I went i the cybersmart folder. I clicked on smart blog post and there was the Before and After doc. Poem time

Today at reading we have to write a poem about travelling to Rio and we competed in the Olympics.
Olympics is when you go to different countries in the world and compete in a sport or your favourite sport and you compete against other countries and u can get a gold medal a silver medal and a bronze medal. I don`t think this is my best poem but latest I tried my best.

I would feel a bit scared happy and excited at the same old time. Going to play in the women`s under sevens ruby team. Travelling to Rio is a thing for not just me but for other people in the world to.

Gymnastics

I am doing Gymnastics. Gymnastics is if u are flexible u can do the splits cartwheels handstands and any other things in gymnastics. I do gymnastics and i am on level 8 and i am moving up to level 9 very soon. I started when I was 2 and I went to baby gymnastics glass and now i am turning 10 years old.

What is Shooting?

Shooting is when you vs other players of the world and you have to shoot these red things that u shoot to get goals.  If u go to shoot the red thing and you  miss you don't get a  goal for your team.

Why u should watch it.

Shooting is a true test of accuracy and demands intellectual and psychological skill rather than physical strength, with competitions won and lost  by a matter of millimetres.

Vinicius and Tom

      In this video Vinicius and tom made a tree house to sleep in but the only thing is that Vinicius        and Tom could no sleep in the tree house in their bed so they both did the same thing and                walked out side and Vinicius stretched his  leg to the breach and Tom walk on the a little lily            pad and then got on a big lily pad and then they both fell asleep.

Is This A Fair Rule

During the ancient Olympic Games, men were allowed to compete in the events but women were not. In fact, women were often forbidden from even watching the games.

Do I think this is not a fair rule: I think this is not a fair rule because men and woman should be able to compete in the Olympic but back then only men could compete in the Olympics but now men and woman can compete in the Olympics now and I think that it is fair now that the woman can compete in the Olympics now so is my opinion.

             For these 2 weeks we are doing fun Olympics Activities in reading. When we have finished              a  Activity and posted it on our blog before 7:00 pm each night we will get a gold point .                    Next  when the clock hits 7:00 pm the teacher will cheek and see if our blog post if our                    activity  is  on our   blog.

We have been learning to do pastel art work.  We have also been learning about warm colors and cold colors. At the top i have the sun and i used Orange yellow and red and i smudge it together to make the sun color. Then i have the grass the color i used for the grass was green. Last of all i have the water i used light blue dark blue and and green for the seaweed. Then I smudge a little bit of the dark blue with the light blue. 

Chocolate Experience

My mouth was starting to water just looking at the delicious brown cube with sharp ends that was sitting on my sheet it was also staring at me. When I was feeling the delicious chocolate cube with sharp end it felt like a hard rock and it was also smooth. When I was holding the cube I felt it malting in my fingers and it was a little bit sticky. I could also smell the yummy,delicious chocolate cocoa powder  and the delicious milky chocolate. When I tasted the yummy,delicious chocolate it was clinging to the top my mouth. Also when I tasted the yummy delicious chocolate it exploded in my mouth like a colorful firework and I could taste the creamy milk in my mouth. When I bit into the chocolate a explosion happened.

Bubble Writing

The bubbles floating in the air like a beautiful butterfly. The bubbles were like a yucky poison red yummy apple. They popped like a yummy, delicious popcorn. When the popped in the air all I heard was “poof”. They danced like a yummy,delicious jelly in the wind. The beautiful colours that I saw was Gold,Blue,Purple and Maroon. The colorful bubbles were moving in slow motion. I heard the colourful bubbles making noises. They were making noises like they splatted,popped,boom,bang and “poof”. When I felt the bubbles they made my hands go all sticky  and slimy. Then when I felt another one my hands felt all gooey. When I tasted the beautiful yucky bubbles and it tasted soapy and liquidy.

We are learning to use adjectives and similes in our writing. Adjectives are in the color - Yellow and similes are in the color - Green. We went outside and played with the bubbles it was fun. Then we started to write down some wow words on a paper.

In Literacy we have been learning about Autumn. We went outside and listened to the sounds of Autumn. We looked around and the trees dancing to the wind. Together we wrote a vocab lists about Autumn and summer. Then we wrote our Good bye summer Hello Autumn poem.

We have been learning about our new values. They are called people powers. We have made a poster for the junior`s about one value. I did Leap into the pit with your friends. My favourite thing about this activity was that I got to draw a picture about Leap into the pit with your friends.

Spencer park

Last week on Friday the whole senior block went to Spencer park. We went on a school bus to Spencer park. As so as we got there we got of the bus and we walked to a big long tree and we had morning tea for morning tea I had a so yummy kettle corn popcorn. Before we went on the playground the teacher`s told us to put on our sun block on I put sun block on three times for that whole day. After that we had two Hour`s to play the first thing I went on was the flying fox. One of my friends pulled me all the way to the pole and run and then gave me a big push and then I went so fast that she made my head bang into the tyer`s at the end of the flying fox and I played . Next I went to play volleyball for the last hour. An hour later the teacher`s say ... come and get your bag`s and put some more sun block on if you want so I put so more sun block on. After that we had to walk through the forest and then we crossed the crossing were u can park your car to go to the beach. Then we went past the surf club and before we went past the gate we had to take of our shoes. Next we had to go through the gate and over the the sandy rocky bit and then we were on the beach. The first thing we did was we had to dig the deepist hole. Then we had to make a hero out of sand and anything we wanted that was on the beach. After that we went to this place on the beach it had like this big log and we put on our shoes then we went back to the tree and had lunch and had a hour to play then we went on the bus and back to school and as so as we got back to school the bell went.
